Frank Tempesta



Frank Tempesta retired as President and CEO of Textron Systems Corporation, a $2B+ company with 6500 employees.

As a Segment CEO and one of Textron Inc. s top executives, Tempesta also served on its Operating Committee and Transformation Leadership Team. During his 40-year career with the company, he has held senior leadership positions in Program Management, Engineering, and Operations.

Previously, Tempesta was honorably discharged as a Captain in the United States Army in 1967, having served as a company commander in Vietnam and received the Bronze Star.

USIS COUNCIL ::

He received his BS and MS degrees in Engineering from Northeastern University in 1962 and 1964.

Currently, he is Chairman of the Board of The Boston Philharmonic Orchestra; a board member of kSARIA, Inc.; a board member of Social Capital Inc.; an active member of Northeastern University s Engineering Industrial Advisory Board; and a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

He has served on the Executive Board of the Massachusetts High Technology Council, and participated in numerous aerospace and defense associations.
